PLANTECO Environmental Consultants, LLC has been chosen as a team member by Plexus Scientific to provide environmental remediation services at the Hawthorne Army Depot (HWAD). Plexus was awarded an $8.4 million performance based contact to provide cleanup services at HWAD. PLANTECO was chosen to provide our in situ bioremediation technology to cleanup perchlorate and explosive compounds in soils at the site. PLANTECO’s low-cost technology has been successfully field tested three times, including a large-scale demonstration at a one acre site contaminated with perchlorate, explosives and VOCs at the Longhorn Army Ammunition Plant in Karnack, TX
