GREEN CEMENT PRODUCED FROM WASTE

PLANTECO has acquired rights to produce and market newly developed GREEN CEMENT manufactured from waste materials (waste paper sludge ash and waste glass). Green cement is entirely made from waste material and does not require the addition or partial substitution of Portland cement. Besides its potential use by the construction industry in the manufacture of concrete and mortar, the new Green cement has other potential uses.

Unlike Portland cement, Green cement has a very high resistance to chemical attack making it better cement for the stabilization of hazardous wastes, cement for concrete works in chemically aggressive environments such as sea water, and cement for stabilization of soils (sulfate rich soils), general earth and foundation works.

Green cement will enable for the reduction in the demand for natural resources, reduction in energy demand, and reduction in the requirement for landfill space. Green cement can be produced more economically than Portland cement. In practice this will lead to a reduction in the cost of manufacture of cement products and subsequently lead to a reduction in the cost of construction projects.
